I looked over the editorial a couple of times, and I’m pretty sure that the Clinton reference was meant as a compliment.

I’m not sure we’ve quite reached the point where Republicans use “Clintonian” as a compliment. Maybe in a few more months, when we’ll still be seeing careful parsing of words from White House. And after all, the Big Dog is palling around with Poppy (and Hillary is becoming friendly with Newt Gingrich and Rupert Murdoch). It’s possible the Clintons aren’t rabid Michael Moorites.
