We had a great turnout at DC Drinking Liberally last night, and I thought I’d post a few random links related to conversations I had there:
- We talked about Matt Taibbi’s Rolling Stone article on contractor corruption in Iraq. Much of the information isn’t new, but it draws together multiple stories into a good roundup. Be sure to take your blood pressure medication before reading it.
- In discussing Larry Craig’s situation, we mentioned Michael Rogers of BlogActive, who did come by DCDL once a long time ago. Laurel set me a link to these People of the Web videos about Rogers.
- Three former regulars we haven’t seen in many months reappeared. Welcome back, StealthBadger, Chad, and Laura!
- Art Levine alerted me to his upcoming article in the American Prospect about the FISA revision fiasco. It’s up now, and could cause a bit of a stir in the blogosphere, though I’m not sure Art will make Wanker of the Day.
- Several bloggers from The Seminal were there.
- I’ll be revising the blog roll this weekend. If you go to our DCDL get-togethers and would like your blog listed, let me know in the comments, or e-mail keith@dcdl.org.
Laura has a blog too!

Thanks, SB. I’d seen that, but since her name wasn’t on it I wasn’t sure she wanted to be connected with it, and no one would have known who “Olive” was.

We all had a lot of fun and we’ll be back! Thanks for the link.
